I'm Christopher Els, a childhood cancer survivor. I know what it means to face treatment as a kid, and what a single dream can do for hope. Running 42 km is my way of paying that hope forward, 42 times over.
I'm Christopher Els, a childhood cancer survivor. On 23 May 2027 I'll run the Cape Town Marathon, and every one of the 42 kilometres funds a dream for a child living with a life-threatening illness. Track every rand as it comes in.
Each tile is a kilometre of the marathon and the dream it pays for. As donations and pledges arrive, the route lights up. Fund a full tile, or chip in toward the next one.
